You can’t get rid of your pores, but you can make them appear smaller! Here’s how to achieve naturally flawless looking and most importantly…healthy skin.
Step 1: Wash your face 1-2 times a day with a mild cleanser. Why it works: Excess oil causes pores to expand throughout the day. Washing the skin will reduce buildup and reduce pore size.
Step 2: Exfoliate 2-3 times a week. Why it works: The black appearance inside of pores is due to oxidized pore debris. Exfoliating removes the dead skin cells and debris from inside pores making them appear cleaner and smaller.
Step 3: Apply sunscreen of at least SPF 30. Why it works: Too much sun exposure damages the skin causing pores to look larger.
Step 4: Use spot treatments. Why it works: Retinoids, salicylic acid, alpha hydroxy acid or benzoyl peroxides are known to shrink pores. Clay masks and oil blotting wipes will also help keep excess oil under control.
Step 5: Choose the correct make up. Why its important: Many makeup products contain oil and talc which settle into pores and make them appear larger. Look for “noncomedogenic” labels meaning it won’t clog pores. Try our fragrance free, talc free, paraben free Naked Mineral Powder Foundation.
